Ship Upgrades: Main Armaments Mod 1, Damage Control System Mod 1, Aiming Systems Mod 1, Propulsion Mod 1 and Concealment System Mod 1 The big question is how does the USS Rochester perform and in my opinion it's quite strong. The smoke screen consumable allows Rochester to be uptiered and still be effective when fighting tier 10 ships, the ability to be uptiered and still deliver strong performances for me is a hallmark of ship strenght. I know a lot of players will be thinking oh no not another smoke firing cruiser in the game that is the last thing we need but I must admit having had quite a few very nice games in the Rochester already. It went through some significant changes throughout testing probably the most dynamic was the removal of radar and the addition of the smoke screen consumable but Rochester is now in it's finished final state and will be available in the armory for 11300 doubloons and in the premium store for varying priced bundles. The USS Rochester is based on a real ship and is historically accurate. The USS Rochester was an oregon class heavy cruiser launched on the 28th of August 1945 and although didnt see action in the second world war she went on to serve extensively in the Korean War providing gunfire support to troops ashore and serving as a mobile helicopter base and I have to say it's always great to see real ships that served in action added to the game. If you missed out on the opportunity to get the USS Anchorage from one of the previous dockyard events I can highly recommend the USS Rochester as a solid replacement. The American cruisers in the game for the most part look fantastic so I'm sure the fans of the US cruisers and collectors will be quite happy with this ship. Being a tier 8 premium Rochester earns a lot of credits and experience in particular in games versus tier 10 so she functions very well as a captain trainer also. I can't find too much negative to say about the Rochester tbh besides the fact she doesnt offer anything particularly new or unique in terms of gameplay.
