WINTER VANLIFE in WALES. We found it hard to find sites and one was far too expensive.

After the snow of Ambleside we sample some of north Wales and are disappointed by how hard it is to find campsites that are open. We do end up at Snowdownia Parc campsite situated next to the Welsh Highland Railway at Waunfawr, but decide to leave early. We found it too expensive given the facilities and despite paying £30 per night, to include EHU, still had to run our fridge and heating on gas. This lead to an unplanned stay at Lady Margaret CAMC Club site in Chirk and so glad we did as we were amazed by the engineering of the aqueduct, viaduct and Chirk tunnel. We also managed to drop in to see Chirk Castle as we move on to another stop. Also as we are now mid December it's time to put up our Christmas decorations. Merry Christmas to all. This is episode 103 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.
