✔️College entrance exam held amid COVID-19 The annual College Scholastic Ability Test was held today at almost 1,400 test centers nationwide. This year’s exam was pushed back two weeks from Nov. 19 after regular school semesters were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Test takers had to get their body temperatures checked and their hands sanitized before entering a classroom to take the exam. Wearing a mask throughout the exam was also mandatory. Separate facilities were set up so that students who tested positive for COVID-19 or were in quarantine could still take the exam. ✔️'Statue of Peace' to remain in Berlin A monument to victims of sexual slavery by Japan before and during World War II can remain permanently in a Berlin district after facing a removal order earlier this year. The borough council of the German capital's Mitte district on Dec. 1 passed a resolution for the so-called Statue of Peace to remain at its place. The German-based civic group Korea Verband installed the statue on Sept. 25 with the district's permission to display it for one year. A district representative for the Left Party said the statue should stay since it symbolizes the fight against violence against women.
