Indian National Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena organised a show of strength on Monday. The three parties gathered their legislators in a hotel for a programme labelled 'We Are 162', to show that the alliance enjoys a majority in the newly-elected Assembly. NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Sena boss Uddhav Thackeray addressed the MLAs. The legislators were also administered an oath of allegiance, in which they were made to swear loyalty to the alliance and decline any solicitation by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
