Ostrich skin hack for advanced leathercrafters! #shorts

🧐 Why would you want to do this? Read below 👇👇 When working with ostrich skin, sometimes your patterns may lay over areas where parts of the crown are missing (smaller area containing the pearls or 'pips'). This can throw off symmetry if for example, there is a bare corner that's missing a pearl. The eye is naturally drawn to it. A solution I've found is to relocate a pearl from a surplus area or offcut, as you see in the video. Rather than make a fake one, you can use a real one from the same skin. This also works on smaller projects too, like cardholders that use offcuts for example. 👉Note, it is advised to use a backing in this case.
