Déri Museum, Debrecen

In the Home of the Christ Trilogy Mihály Munkácsy's Christ trilogy, Egyptian mummies, samurai swords, armor, works of the most famous Hungarian painters are all under one roof in one of the country's most comprehensive collections, the Déri Museum in Debrecen. Worker's Hall In the most popular room of the museum, we can admire perhaps the artist's most significant paintings, the Trilogy (Christ before Pilate, Ecce Homo and Golgotha). The interest in Mihály Munkácsy is unbroken, and viewing the monumental works that fill an entire wall, processing the story of Christ's suffering, is an unforgettable experience. The interesting thing about the ensemble is that even Munkácsy did not see the three paintings together. The renovated, specially lit exhibition has grown into a famous place of pilgrimage in Europe.
