Not all fan clutches are normal right hand threads! As in some of them are righty-loosey, lefty-tighty! So how do you tell? One of the guys I worked with showed me this real simple trick that'll work every time. Same reason why some big trucks used left hand thread lug nuts on one side of the truck!
