Let's Play Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade (BLIND) - Episode 17
ORIGINAL RECORD DATE: June 29th, 2025. Okay, I confess. At first, I wasn't actually going to play Final Fantasy VII Remake until after playing the original FFVII. This was because I thought it'd be interesting to see what the newer game did to the world and characters. Not to mention I think the remake is specifically designed in some places to give players that fan service feeling, knowing you played and loved the original title. However, I kind of.. just started playing FFVII: Remake anyways. I couldn't help myself. FFXVI was such an amazing and cinematic experience, that I wanted to see why everyone loved this remake. Don't worry though, I will continue to play through every Final Fantasy game I can, and someday we'll come to the original FFVII and have the same planned experience in reverse. With that being said, it's important to remember that this remake is actually a trilogy of fully fleshed out games. Not a singular experience. Starting with "Remake Intergrade", or Part 1 if you will. Of course, I plan to do all three. Once the third part is developed, released, and ported to PC. I'm not entirely sure how long the game, and subsequently the Let's Play, will be, but I've been given a rough idea. I'll of course be playing this how I would any other blind Final Fantasy playthrough, by doing as much as I can along the way. The story, grinding, side content, etc. Without any use of walkthroughs as to not spoil the first time experience. As such, expect me to miss things, even if I'm trying hard not to. As I mentioned before, I've never played the original Final Fantasy VII, so this is actually my first time getting to see the game's story and characters. Even if it's presented in a much different way with more modern bells and whistles. The only thing I know about FFVII is that it's one of the most well regarded FF titles. Maybe that's because it was the first partially 3D game in the series? Maybe it's specifically the story? Maybe it was the gameplay? I don't know, guess we'll find out. The remake seems to be loved to death just the same. All episodes will be uploaded raw in 1440p at 60fps with no unique intro or outro. Yet another Let's Play of a narratively deep JRPG that will easily exceed 50 hours? Don't tell such lies! NOTE: This is marked as a "BLIND" Let's Play. Which means that it is my first time playing & experiencing the game. You should come to expect me to struggle to learn new mechanics, fail to understand things, and make plenty of mistakes.
