MW3 Cut Post-Credits Scene (4K)

We should primarily thank my good friend    / @yoyo1love   (@yoyo1love) for restoring this scene. I prompted him and helped him with testing to ensure that the scene was restored correctly. Closer look at "Stranger":    • MW3 Closer look at "Stranger" from Post-Cr...   In this deleted scene, there is a mysterious character labeled as "shadowman" and "ominous stranger" in the files. Please note that sounds after 00:50 were not intended to be heard. These sounds were played because the scripted part of the scene had ended and the game returned to its normal combat state. It's official but deactivated, code changes are required to see the scene. Captured on PC. yoyo1love's note: "The script for it wasn't on pc version of the game but it was on consoles and it was also commented out so I had to port it and slightly adjust for the game script we have so far. I was a bit surprised to learn that it was actually almost fully accessible, no sounds or animations went missing so it was fairly easy to restore and it worked great out of the box" Developer reactions: • Updated in May 2025. So for years I’ve thought this was how it ended. D’oh." • Chris Staples (former Associate Sound Designer at Infinity Ward): "I remember focusing on these specific lines of dialog/efforts as this was my first project as a developer on CoD. TBH, I thought this was how we shipped as well." • Peter Blumel (former Producer at Infinity Ward): "The things that sneak into the shipping build... None of us at Infinity Ward were going to let Price die. We killed Soap which propelled Price's motivations into the third act but someone had to draw the line at killing Price. There was no gain to the loss not to mention he was the only iconic character left, no different than Gordon Freeman or Indiana Jones IMHO."
