Mile Marker 1184.7 to Mile Marker 1201.7 Part 1 of 8 - This video is of a 112 Mile Section Hike that I took along the Appalachian Trail in May 2020...as I go North Bound (NoBo) on my quest to hike the 2,200 Mile long AT. This AT Section Hike went from Swatara Gap, PA to Delaware Water Gap, PA (the PA / NJ Border). Part 1 focuses on traveling to the AT Trail Head and Day 1 Hiking (Swatara Gap, PA to Hertline Campsite, PA). This Section of PA ("Eastern Section") is where the State earns it's nickname as "Rocksylvania". In other YouTube videos, hikers TALK about the rocks...in my YouTube videos I SHOW the rocks! The rocks are so intense that you can NOT hold a camera to capture the terrain - instead I strapped a GoPro to my head to capture the terrain - and how intense it is! Although FLAT, this was the most difficult Section of the AT from GEORGIA up to this point (over 1,100 miles). However, there were still a lot of memorable sites and destinations along the journey...to help offset some of the misery inflicted by the rocks. I hope you enjoy the 8 videos I created based on this AT Section Hike! Link to YouTube video for Part 1: • AT Section Hike EP13 - Part 1 - Swatara Ga...
