Ukrainian, Russian delegations arrive in Istanbul for talks

Ukraine's president Volodymr Zelenskyy is ready to talk about his country adopting a neutral status as part of peace negotiations. That status is one of Russia's demands, which among others, includes Ukraine's demilitarisation. So far, multiple rounds of talks have produced very little progress. The latest talks will start in Istanbul on Tuesday, two days after Turkiye's president spoke with Vladimir Putin on the phone. Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed the need for a cease-fire and called for an improvement to the humanitarian situation.
