(5 Sep 2019) Drone footage of the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas filmed Wednesday dramatically illustrates the widespread damage and destruction caused by Hurricane Dorian. Tossed cars, shredded buildings, downed trees and huge piles of debris litter the landscape around Marsh Harbour. Shipping containers, power lines, shattered building beams and roofs are piled on top of one another. Huge pieces of buildings lie in rubble on the ground. Bahamian authorities announced 20 deaths due to the storm, and say they expect more casualties in the coming days as they dig through the rubble of towns in northwestern Bahamas. Hurricane Dorian has since weakened from a Category 5 storm to a Category 2 as it approaches the southeastern region of the US.
