Former London Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick is regarded as one of the UK's most prolific sex offenders. PC Carrick, 48, is due to be sentenced on Tuesday 7 February at Southwark Crown Court. Carrick has pleaded guilty to 85 offences, including dozens of rapes, against 12 victims between 2003 and 2020 while he was a serving police officer. The hearing at has seen the prosecution outline what he did, and many of his victims are now telling their stories. One woman says in a statement she felt she had "encountered evil" when she was attacked by Carrick.
