(15 Oct 2014) FOR CLEAN VERSION SEE STORY NUMBER: apus018871 Friends and former classmates of Nina Pham, the nurse who contracted Ebola after she treated the first patient to test positive with the deadly disease, gathered on the campus of Texas Christian University Tuesday night. The vigil took place at TCU's Robert Carr Chapel. Pham is a 2010 graduate of the university's nursing program. Those in attendance included Pham's sorority sisters. They read scripture and offered prayer for the 26-year-old woman. Medical records from the patient Pham treated show she wore protective gear and was in the same room as Thomas Eric Duncan the day before he died from the Ebola virus. Texas Health Presbyterian hospital in Dallas says Pham is in good condition. Pham has received blood plasma transfusions from a doctor who beat the virus. The charity which Dr. Kent Brantly worked for while on a medical mission in the west African country of Liberia says his blood type was a match for hers. Blood plasma may offer antibodies to fight the germ.
