Mattress Care: Vacuum the mattress surface and sides using an upholstery attachment. Deep Cleaning: Sprinkle baking soda over the mattress, let it sit for 1 hour to absorb odors, and then vacuum it off. Air it Out: Occasionally leave the bed unmade to allow moisture from sweat to evaporate, reducing the environment for dust mites. Protection: Use a mattress protector, which should be washed monthly.  Regular maintenance every 6 months, such as rotating the mattress, can also prolong its life.
