Knowledge is power. For the long time in business, deals have been unfairly tilted in favour of the party who is familiar with the laws and principles that govern that deal. The party who is not able to afford adequate legal representation, often places their trust in the other party's integrity, often to their detriment. The dominant party in negotiations, often large institutions or wealthy individuals, represent the minority in society. That is to say that the majority of us are often in the weaker bargaining position. Addressing the issue of access to lawyers will effectively end the tyranny by the minority.
