Returning characters include Freddy Abberline, and Jacob Frye, featuring the ability to play as Jack himself! Setting: Assassin's Creed Syndicate (AC: Syndicate) is set in 1868 Victorian London, and Crawley. The Assassin Brotherhood is dwindling, and Jacob and Evie Frye set out to London to crush the Templar empire of Crawford Starrick and his disciples. In the Jack the Ripper DLC, gameplay is set 20 years (1888) after the events of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (AC: Syndicate) in Whitechapel, where Evie Frye returns to investigate the disappearance of her brother Jacob Frye, and catch the elusive mass murderer "Jack The Ripper".
