CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Reds Caravan hit the road Thursday, January 26. It'll make its way through five states over four days. It's an annual baseball tradition that brings the players to the fans. The next few days are going to be very busy for the Reds they are going to be heading into Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, and Tennessee, meeting with fans all along the way. Fans will get to meet with former and current players and also top minor league players as well as broadcasters and some of the front office staff. Before taking off, they all met at the Reds Hall of fame. Four caravans heading north, south, east, and west. Marty Brennaman and Eric Davis headed it with them. Brennaman said, "This thing has grown over the last four decades to four buses and going to all points of the compass and it really has been an overwhelming success." Davis shared, "As far as a representative of the team we appreciate the things that go on, it's not an easy task when you have to draw from so many different places so it's just a matter of me showing my appreciation to those surrounding cities that make the Reds do what they do." By the end of it, they will have covered 3,300 miles on their trip. Their last stop will be at Florence Mall on Sunday.
