This is a song I wrote to my dad. I've struggled with depression (bipolar disorder] for the majority of my life, and he's been there through every struggle. Every time I need him, he's there for me, has always been and will always be. So I wrote this song to honor the man, and I hope you like it :) Original song, written by Eline Margot Lyrics: You held me in your arms Told me everything’s gonna be fine You helped me find a way out When I was confined in my mind On those gloomy days when I wasn’t okay You gave me reasons to stay You’re the lighthouse that I seek out In the dark You’re the voice which guides me home When I’m lost Pick me up at the side of the road Let my frozen tears melt onto your coat Be the one who’ll catch when I fall Be there through it all With your helping hand I rose out of the ashes again Just like a phoenix and you taught me How to use my wings Flew me away to the sunshine Showed me the beautiful side, of life Proved that it’s worth fighting for You’re the reason I still fly You’re the lighthouse that I seek out In the dark You’re the voice which guides me home When I’m lost Pick me up at the side of the road Let my frozen tears melt onto your coat Be the one who’ll catch when I fall Just be there through it all
