On November 14, 2011, a line of severe storms with some of cells capable of producing tornadoes slammed Eastern Illinois, Indiana, Southeastern Michigan, and Northwest Ohio during the afternoon hours. Here in this video, you are witnessing the worst of the storms as they really pounded Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. A tornado watch was issued for the area until the storms had passed, and two tornado warnings were issued that expired at 3:30 pm and 4:15 pm. This was caused by a stationary front that stretched from St. Louis to Detroit, and a low pressure system that drifted northeast from central Illinois to Detroit, Michigan. *This video is the new record holder for longest video on my channel to date. I rarely make and upload videos over 10 minutes due to large file sizes and lengthy video conversions and uploads.* To view the weather for West Lafayette, Indiana and the surrounding areas in the Midwest U.S., click on these links below: http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/curre... http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ind/ http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?ri.... http://www.weather.com/weather/map/in... http://www.weather.com/weather/videos.... http://www.weather.com/weather/videos.... http://www.weather.com/weather/videos.... http://www.weather.com/weather/videos....
