Mesoscale Fire Behavior

This 3-minute video describes how diurnal conditions impact the behavior of fire in mountainous terrain during a 24-hour period. The simulated 3D environment was created by COMET's graphic artist, Steve Deyo. Steve worked closely with fire behavior experts to create a realistic and scientifically accurate representation of a complex physical process.
