Transcript:- Hi guys and welcome theres a new Ark survival evolved patch numbered 254 which is due to drop on the 20th of January 17 so as usual lets get into what it has to offer. if you enjoy this video or find it useful please do hit that like button and subscribe to the channel. For now however lets get into whats in the patch. The first thing worth mentioning is that the patch should be including the Tek Tier update which was initially planned for update 253 for more information on the Tek Tier Patch check out the video that I made on it which i will link in the description, ill also post a card in now. Secondly there will be some changes to the aesthetics of characters. The patch is bringing in hairstyles and facial hair which will grow in real time there will also be hair dying and hair cutting which will be done with scissors which could be a new craftable item. A new craftable item the "Lance" is being introduced, the only thing we know about this is that it will be used for jousting! Finally this update is bringing in 7 new Dinos that we will get into right now:- Ovis A Type of sheep that can be repeatedly sheared for its wool, It appears that it can be used as a very weak and slow mount however can scramble up steeper inclines than other creatures. Thylacoleo (thy-lak-o-lee-oh) A Large and powerful marsupial it is able to climb trees and pounce on its prey in ambush making is a moderatley strong mount. Basilosaurus A water dwelling creature that favours the shallows where it has an increased rate of healing from injuires. The Basilosaurus is vulnerable in deeper waters. It can be hunted for its blubber which can be refined into a more efficient form of gasoline. Baryonyx (bare-ee-ON-iks) With Crocodile like jaws the bayronyx is a water hunter that sits on the smaller end of the large predator category, Makes a great mount for players who want to switch between water and land. Purlovia (per-LOH-vee-uh) A type of mamal like reptile that is a vicious ambush predator. It does not make for an effective mount but can act as a guardian for bases or villages or in staging an ambush. They burrow into th eground to hiberbnate but will burst out and attack any prey found wandering by. Microraptor (MIKE-row-rap-tor) A small carniverous dinososaur that looks like a bird with a lizards face. It will attack humans on sight and is great for use against enemy riders as it will prioritise attacking the human and ignore the mount. Ammonite A deep sea dweller that for unknown reasons when attacked will be defended by any nearby creatures. It is untameable but if killed drops bile that can be used in concoctions such as antidotes.
