Fake tip leads cops looking for killers on goose chase

Police near Chicago say they wasted hours searching an area for suspected cop killers because a woman who was looking for attention called in a fake tip.Kristin Kiefer reportedly told police that two men tried to get into her car in the town of Volo.That's just a few miles from where Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz was shot to death on Tuesday morning.Police say more than a hundred officers converged on the area overnight.
