Is the BBC Diverse enough?
The BBC has pledged to spend £100 million pounds over a three year period to increase diversity and inclusion within the corporation. But is it diverse enough? In this video I look at the demographics of the BBC particularly BBC News and current affairs output and see whether they have work to do to match the population of the UK or Parliament. I also look at diversity and inclusion in the form of diversity of thought and impartiality. Is the BBC doing enough to represent all views or have they skewed to either the left or the right of politics. They are certainly and morally correctly taking a side in support of environmental issues and against racism but in doing that are they failing to reach out to and represent a section of the population in favour of another echo chamber?
