President Biden says we should ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines

President Joe Biden held a press conference in the Rose Garden Thursday (4/8). The President, joined by Vice-President Kamala Harris and Attorney General Merrick Garland, announced a half-dozen executive actions Thursday aimed at combatting gun violence across the nation. President Biden called gun violence in America an “epidemic and an international embarrassment." He also urged Congress to act, calling on the Senate to take up House-passed measures closing background check loopholes.
