The Morgan Library & Museum in New York

This is one of the lesser known and smaller museums among the many in New York City, Manhattan specifically, and is one of my favorites because of its elegance and diversity of content. You are literally transported to another time when you enter Mr. Morgan's Library and Study. If you ever get the chance to enter while the place is empty at the beginning of the day, you will know what I mean. Located in the Murray Hill section of Midtown East, it's a short walk from the Empire State Building and Fifth Avenue in general. For postcard collectors like myself, their Museum shop offers a wide variety of postcards for sale, along with some swoon worthy accessories and souvenirs.
