Double life: His secret girlfriend was pregnant | WDR documentary

For over two years, Carl leads a double life. On the one hand, there's his relationship with Alina, and on the other, another relationship with a different woman, with whom he even starts a family. Carl and Alina also have a child together. For a long time, Alina has no idea that Carl has been lying to her for years, until one day she receives a phone call. And her world collapses. Christian is happily married to his wife when, at the age of 40, he increasingly realizes that he is attracted to men. Initially, he maintains the facade, outwardly living a normal family life with his partner and child. But in every spare moment, he immerses himself in another world and lives out his sexuality as a gay man. Christian becomes increasingly entangled in lies, suffers from guilt, and yet for a long time can't bring himself to tell his wife, Sonja, the truth. Even though she notices that he is changing. Sonja keeps pressing him, suspecting an illness he is hiding or another woman.
