Gateway Classic Cars of Kansas City is extremely proud to present this gorgeous 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. This stunning Mustang was a barn find and was sitting in a barn for around 40 years according to the owner! The owner believes that both the engine and transmission are original to the car, and once the Mustang was found they spent lots of time and money getting the car into the shape we see it today. Both the 260 V8 engine and 3 Speed manual transmission were completely rebuilt, the clutch was gone through, and they replaced the brake, fuel and exhaust systems. They added new brake lines, hoses, master cylinder, shoes, and even the parking brake cable. In regards to the fuel system they added new lines, hoses, a new sending unit, and a new gas tank. For the exhaust they went with a Flow master 40 series exhaust with an H pipe and a 2 inch chamber. It is sitting on a set of new shocks and they even went ahead and added a remanufactured starter. Finished in the factory color of Raven Black with a red interior, you will not find a better color combination! This car came originally with a black interior and a white top, when building it they changed this out to the highly desirable and a new black convertible top which is a great addition. They also added a newer AM/FM and Bluetooth head unit so you can put the top down and listen to your favorite tunes. Sitting on a set of newer steel wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires, you will be hard pressed to find a better 65 Mustang Convertible to park in your garage. This is not one you want to miss out on!
