Welcome to my Let's Play! of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Amnesia was developed by independent Swedish studio Frictional Games, creators of the Penumbra series. I've never played them personally but I'm sure this game is as entertaining and frightening as its predecessors. I have guests during my LP of Amnesia! I ask my friends about the scariest game they have ever played and get repeated answers of Resident Evil 2 and Dead Space. They don't believe some of the stuff I tell them about in this game. I finally get to show it off. Seeing something in person leaves a much greater impression than seeing it on the internet or hearing about it from someone else. In Part 3 I run around the refinery being cautious because the Shadow did not appear like in Part 2. My friends then get to see the effects of having your sanity driven from you and the gameplay mechanics that affect the world around you, such as doors opening randomly or your character falling to the floor. I then enter the infamous "water part." I had only seen clips of gameplay from this section. I knew something would be chasing you but was unaware of it's identity. I still don't know what it is. But I do know how to get past that heavy gate. I didn't know but after reviewing the gameplay, I heard a mechanism turning and clicking after I pulled the first lever in the Old Archives. The gate has a timed lock.
