'It was so scary': Flood survivor recounts experience

Kenny Gaffney, who was rescued in the Lismore floods on Monday with his wife and 11-month-old baby, says he had "never seen anything like it". Mr Gaffney said he and his family were lucky to be rescued on a kayak. "I came back ... an hour later in a tinnie to get some valuables, like food for my baby, clothing for my baby, stuff like that," he told Sky News Australia. "Once I got back in the house, the water was already up to my knees - it was so scary."
