Drawing from Matthew 7:7-12, Pastor Bev taught that prayer is not just about asking once—it’s a persistent pursuit of God’s presence, purpose, and promises. Jesus invites us to ask, to seek, and to knock—not because God is reluctant, but because He is willing and sovereign. We don’t pray to overcome His resistance; we pray to embrace His will (as Martin Luther said). Like Esther, who sought the king's favor for such a time as this, we are positioned by God and called to respond with bold obedience, even when the answers seem delayed or hidden..
