Late split, Justice man dies about a second before inputting the final split. This run is pretty much entirely marathon strats, figured I should get a run with the quick kills before retreating into hibernation. I believe it's faster to actually save the game and return to the options menu to set stage and boss difficulty to hard just before death man as it saves a comical amount of time in said stage and loses hardly any time in the next two stages on paper, but this is incredibly risky as it turns fortress 1 into a ridiculously punishing stage thanks to the fish spawning overhead and the fortress 3 refights can eat a solid chunk of time with bad rng (notably against virus and fuse man), though overall the fights in fortress 3 are faster with good rng. In game save states don't overwrite save games though, so if you wanted to open that can of worms you could set up a save state on the difficulty menu before the run starts and load it as soon as you make your save file before death man to save about 6-7 seconds and make the strat way more viable. Also save states let you essentially reroll rng, which would be significant in the virus refight. I am not opening that can of worms though, funny as it would be. How to clip: while on the ground, press B to hold a wheel cutter against a wall and then immediately pause the game. Release B before the game resumes and you will have installed the bug (lasts until taking damage or throwing a wheel). Walking off a platform in this state will allow you to clip through any floor as you drift downwards. Jumping in the grounded state will also cause you to fly up, holding your Y position to wherever you let go of the jump button. You cannot clip through walls or ceilings to my knowledge, but seemingly all platforms are completely hollow so you can bike out of bounds. Notably this game zips you to the left, unlike most MM titles which send you right by default, but holding right while already in a wall during a downward version of this state can let you travel slowly to the right. There is also a second method of clipping with the bike by sliding just as you hit the invisible ceiling at the top of some specific screens. Not sure what the criteria is, but it seems like the only significant ones are at the start of crypt man's stage, and on the right side of seadee's arena in fortress 1 (nitro sucks at the fish man fight and it's too unstable to even consider skipping it, so dive and fire are still preferable there) How to quick kill: The quick kills are pretty simple in concept, just enter a door to pan the camera into a void while a boss is loaded and they just explode for some reason. Since bosses all crash or softlock if their fight starts off camera, this basically requires you to walk through both doors in a boss corridor. The Port and Thermo skips are pretty easy to see, just install a ghost wheel off the side of the corridor like you would normally and drop onto the left door. Release the wheel while inside of it to get zipped left and start the fight while nitro man is offscreen. Simply walk or slide to the right door for the kill. Crypt is a bit more of a strange case, there's two ways to set it up and the way I did it is actually slightly slower than fighting him normally in any% but more consistent due to completely removing rng as a factor. After clipping down to the platform out of bounds, fly right for just above 3 seconds before firing the wheel and letting go of right. After that WALK left and stop moving once the camera starts panning (sliding and biking both seem to cause the zip to fail). Doing so will allow crypt man to spawn correctly before zipping you back into the corridor's ceiling, allowing you to get back in bounds by initiating a clip from the far left and holding right (make sure to fire the wheel during or immediately after the door sequence or you can get stuck below the stage). Once again just slide over to the right door for a kill. The second method is a lot stricter and likely unviable for rta, seemingly based on your sub pixel position? What you want to do is try to line up the back of the wheel on nitro man's back with the bold yellow line in the shaded part of the pillar so the line is just barely covered (the one nitro is standing on at 14:58), then simultaneously bike and hold jump. If done correctly you will hit the upper left corner of crypt man's arena and zip back, in theory if a consistent setup for it is found it would save a decent chunk of time compared to the previous method or any version of the fight with nitro man. Can't for the life of me figure out anything more than a visual que for when it might be set up. Note that attempting to skip crypt man with any damage will result in a soft lock, and the camera will break unfavorably if attempting to drop down from the first clip in the stage.
