“Soldier confessed…” Police reveal details of Bathinda Military Station Firing

Weeks after shocking fratricidal firing in Bhatinda Military Station, police have revealed details. Army personnel detained by Punjab Police “confessed his involvement in killing four jawans.” The suspect later admitted his involvement in stealing an INSAS Rifle along with magazines. As per Punjab Police, the reason behind the killing could be “personal enmity.” Four army personnel succumbed to gunshot injuries in the firing at Bathinda Military Station on April 12. Army’s South Western Command stated that the firing occurred around 4:35 am inside the Military Station. Punjab Police sources had categorically denied terror angle in the firing incident.
