If your Polar chest strap is giving you strange heart rate readings, the most likely cause is a low battery. In this video, I’ll show you how to change the battery on the Polar H10. What You’ll Need: A CR2025 coin cell battery – I recommend a quality brand like Varta. A small plastic tool or something similar to open the battery cover (your fingernail might work, but it’s a bit tough). Steps: Open the Battery Cover There’s a small notch on the edge of the H10. Use your plastic tool to gently pry open the cover. Remove the Old Battery You’ll see a notch next to the battery – use it to help lift the battery out. Insert the New Battery Place the new battery in with the plus (+) side facing down. The sensor housing also shows this clearly if you’re unsure. Close the Battery Cover Line up the notch on the cover with the sensor body and snap it back into place. Reattaching to the Strap: Clip the sensor back onto one side of the chest strap. This keeps everything together and prevents losing the sensor. When you’re ready to start your workout, attach both sides. After your workout, unclip one side to help save battery life.
