On the eve of the 150th Open in St Andrews, R&A Chief, Martin Slumbers has categorically stated that they will not ban any golfers, referencing calls for members of the breakaway LIV Tour to be banned, but will look at how the players gain their exemptions. It looks as if the R&A will be echoing similar sentiments to the other major competitions that they'll honor the existing major champions exemptions, but anyone below that may need to join the queue in the pre qualifying or final qualifying if they want a place in the 151st Open next year.
