Extended Cleveland weather forecast: Plenty of sunshine on Thursday but highs only in the upper 40s!

The weather in Cleveland is warming up for the weekend. After starting this morning with a Freeze Warning in effect for all of Northeast Ohio, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 40s today. While that's warmer than what we experienced the last few days, it's still well below the average high for this time of year at 65 degrees. Even better? Today also comes with plenty of sunshine. "It’s going to be super bright, so it’s going to feel good when you’re out in the sunshine," 3News meteorologist Hollie Strano says. But first... Strano also says we can expect to break new record lows for today. “The record low for this date at Hopkins is 25 degrees set back in 1947," Strano said. "We will have new record lows to report this morning across Northeast Ohio. Official numbers won’t come in until later.” We warm to the mid and upper 50s with more sunshine on Friday before temperatures return to the 60s for the upcoming weekend. Here is your Cleveland weather 3-day forecast. TODAY: Mostly sunny, but staying colder than average. Upper 40s. FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Warmer. Mid to upper 50s. SATURDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Even warmer. Mid 60s. READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/...
