Vigil held for 14-year-old Point Place stabbing victim

“They took my son from me” Vigil held for 14-year-old Point Place stabbing victim Xander Epps’ family and friends, as well as people who never even knew him, turned out at a vigil on Sunday to remember the victim of the tragic crime. Epps was stabbed outside of the McDonald’s on Summit Street on Saturday evening. About 40 people showed up to share memories of the young man, grieve his loss, and support his family. His death has shocked the community and left his family reeling with grief. “He was such a good kid. He was on the right path. He had changed his life around. He was going to church. He was hanging around positive influences. He was keeping his therapy appointments. We just went shopping for a bunch of clothes. He was excited to start school. And they robbed him of all of that. They took my son from me,” said Xander’s mother through tears. Subscribe to WTOL 11 - https://bit.ly/32odAkM Get WTOL 11+ and stream on your schedule - https://www.wtol.com/article/about-us...
