30 years ago (on Sept. 20, 1995) in Denver at the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre an unseasonal blizzard dumped up to eight inches of wet snow on the area, knocking down power lines and damaging millions of trees. But that didn’t stop Van Halen from playing their show as planned at the 18,000-capacity outdoor venue to a crowd braving the weather and having snowball fights.
