Considering protection for my Asian pears

As the squirrel is now clearly active in my garden it looks like I might have to protect my only 3 Asian pear fruit, 1 is Shinseiki and 2 are Hong-Li. It would be as shame to lose them to birds or animals. So I'll probably enclose them in those little mesh bags called organza bags which are used at weddings. They aren't guaranteed to keep birds and squirrels out but are strong deterrents
