Police said officers from the Fifth District were called at 6:53 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle accident on Eddy Road. A 37-year-old female pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead by hospital staff, according to police. A 42-year-old woman was also taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Cleveland police said the Fifth District launched an investigation with assistance from the department’s Real Time Crime Center.
