Here We Come A-Wassailing is one of five exciting pieces from Christmas Jazz Volume 3 by Chris Lawry and Keri Degg. **LINKS BELOW** This is the third piece in the book (five pieces in all) and it brings a dash of playful cheekiness via its (mainly) swing style. However we are also treated to a minor waltz before launching back into the initial groove. As with all the other Christmas Jazz pieces the original known melody is featured (though often in radically changed styles) but also incorporates stunning new original lines and melodies that really allow the soloist to soar with the beautifully created audio tracks. The pieces are not too advanced and are graded between grades 3-6, so players of intermediate ability will be able to play all without any difficulty. Christmas Jazz Volume 3 consists of five festive arrangements including smoochy ballads (O Christmas Tree, and It Came upon a Midnight Clear), but also tunes with serious groove factor: O Little Town of Bethlehem (a fun filled swing number), Here we Come A-Wassailing (another light-hearted jaunt full of festive spirit), and Ding Dong Merrily on High, which absolutely exudes joy.
