J.S.BACH, BWV 874 FUGUE NO 5 IN D MAJOR FROM WTC II

J.S.BACH, BWV 874 FUGUE NO 5 IN D MAJOR FROM WTC II

Another beautiful fugue from Well Tempered Clavier book 2, written by J.S. Bach. In essence, it is constructed from two motives that form the subject and appear many times during fugue, transformed in myriad different ways, forming lovely melodic lines and harmonies. In the video, you can see the score that I prepared, and it can be helpful to someone who is learning this fugue. Everything that I play with the right hand is written strictly in the upper staff and everything that I play with the left hand is written strictly in the lower staff. Also, it contains the detailed fingering that worked for me. I tried to make a compromise between playing everything legato and using a too complex fingering. If I remember well, even Angela Hewitt said in one interview that this fugue is not easy to play! I'm playing on Casio Privia PX 850 digital piano. I'm not a professional musician so please don't judge my performance too harshly.
