Barack Obama's step-grandmother says someone broke into her store in Kenya. [Notes:NATS UP] Sarah Obama lives in a village more than 300 miles from Nairobi. The suspected thieves didn't get into the home where Obama lives. The candidate's uncle says the thieves apparently used a ladder to get onto the roof when they found all the doors locked. Police were called to investigate the Wednesday incident in western Kenya. SOT: Johnston Ipara, Chief of Police: "We are going remain on the ground until when we deem security is fit, and when security is fit I don't see, so it is a permanent Kogelo police patrol base (here)." Barack Obama's relatives in Kenya are trying to keep a low profile in a nation where the Democratic nominee is wildly popular. Obama barely knew his Kenyan father. He was raised in Hawaii by his mother, a white American from Kansas.
