West Bengal in Lockdown Mode, Violent TMC-CPM Clashes Reported

West Bengal came to a standstill today because of the nation-wide call for a Bharat Bandh. The streets of West Bengal wore a deserted look as the state machinery shut down with buses disappearing completely from the roads. Train services were also hit badly. Schools and shops remained closed. There were also numerous incidents of violence reported from places like Murshidabad and Siliguri where cadres of TMC and CPM clashed.
