We discover that the Sabbath principle extends beyond weekly rest to include Sabbath years for the land, revealing God's wisdom in crop rotation thousands of years before modern agriculture understood it. But more importantly, we see God's heart for the poor and marginalized, as He commands landowners to leave portions unharvested so the needy can glean what they need. This isn't about enabling laziness—Scripture is clear that those unwilling to work shouldn't eat—but about creating opportunities for dignity and provision. The three annual festivals God establishes aren't mere rituals; they're commemorations of His faithfulness, reminders to give Him our first fruits, and warnings against adopting pagan practices. Perhaps most striking is the revelation that the angel going before Israel wasn't just any messenger, but a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Himself, guiding His people toward the Promised Land. This reminds us that Christ has always been preparing the way for us, clearing paths we cannot see, and working on our behalf even when we're unaware. The challenge for us today is whether we'll trust His timing and follow His lead, or insist on our own path and miss what He's prepared. Vision Statement Destiny Cowboy Church will be a western culture congregation working to enlarge God’s heavenly ranch by spreading the gospel of salvation throughout the hills and valleys surrounding our meeting place. Through our services and events we will strive to reach the lost and train them to become productive ranch hands. It is our desire to grow God’s kingdom by starting new cowboy churches. Core Values Accountability: We believe in integrity and being good stewards with what God has placed in our trust. Evangelism: Our goal is to share with others the way to God’s saving grace through Jesus Christ. Fellowship: We will be a church where people will be welcomed into the fellowship of our family with love and support for each other. Discipleship: We will strive to know God better through prayer and bible study, and use this knowledge to teach and train others. Team: We believe in working together in unity to accomplish God’s purpose. Heritage: We will strive to keep our activities, structure, and services in the western culture manner. Excellence: We believe that in all things, we should do it to the best of our ability, as unto the Lord, working cooperatively with our state and local associations. Mission Statement Our mission is to present to our neighbors the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We will actively promote Christian country music, western culture events, and preaching that will apply to our everyday lives through a non-judgmental approach. #Christmas #Jesus #ChristMass #Emmanuel #GodWithUs #Savior #BirthOfChrist #Mary #Joseph #Bethlehem #Manger #Shepherds #WiseMen #Magi #Crucifixion #Resurrection #Salvation #Grace #Mercy #Worship #Sacrifice #KingOfKings #MightyGod #PrinceOfPeace #WonderfulCounselor #EverlastingFather #HolySpirit #Gospel #Matthew #Luke #Isaiah #Gratitude #Commitment #Service #Love #Praise #Glory #Honor #Faith #Redemption #GiftOfGod
