EMD and Alco Aggression : Diesel Locomotives of India Railways Speeding in the Semaphore Territory.!

With the electrification taking over the Indian Railways by storm, it is matter of just days before electric traction takes over the charge from the iconic diesel locomotives. With sections being electrified in a jiffy, hardly few sections are left that offer a wireless network of tracks where Diesel locomotives show their domination. One such section that caught my attention was the Surendranagar Junction - Wankaner Junction stretch where not only there is a single line catenary free section but also offers semaphore signaling system which is a rarity nowadays. This conquest of capturing the diesel domination under the semaphore gantry thus led me and my railfan brother Tarun Tyagi to land at Thangadh station. Though this station and the section was already explored by my other railfan brothers, but this station always offered some amazing spots for capturing some of most mesmerizing diesel actions. Also, since I had not previously explored the semaphore section owing to my fascination for electrics and 130 km/hr action so I made it sure that I do not miss this opportunity. What transpired there can be experienced in this 15 min odd collage. Just sit back and enjoy the high speed fiesta as the Diesel locomotives of Indian Railways namely the Alco and EMD make their presence felt in the semaphore territory of Gujarat region.
