Using fresh cucumbers from my garden and our local farmers market, I decided to make two different recipes: 🥒 Garlic Dill Pickle Chips for me 🥒 Sweet Dill Pickle Spears for Mike The best part? These refrigerator pickles are incredibly easy—no pressure canner or water bath canner required. Just fresh cucumbers, a simple brine, and a little patience while they chill in the refrigerator. Growing with grace, Rebecca 🥒 Garlic Dill Refrigerator Pickle Chips Ingredients 2 half-pint jars About 2–3 cucumbers (varies depending on size), sliced into ¼-inch chips 2 garlic cloves, lightly smashed 2 fresh dill flower heads (or large sprigs of dill) Brine 2 cup water 2 cup white distilled vinegar (5% acidity) 2 tablespoon pickling salt Heat until the salt dissolves. Place one garlic clove and one dill flower head into each jar. Pack tightly with cucumber chips. Pour warm brine over the cucumbers, leaving about ½ inch headspace. Add 1/8th tsp of Mrs. Wages Xtra Crunch Wipe rim, place on lid and collar and label. Refrigerate. Ready in about 24 hours. Place one garlic clove and one dill flower head into each jar. Pack tightly with cucumber spears. Pour warm brine over the cucumbers. Add 1/8th tsp of Mrs. Wages Xtra Crunch Refrigerate. Ready in about 24 hours.
