Pax41 presents the popular 1920's music of the Peerless Quartet ( barbershop quartet ) Peerless Quartet - It Must Be Love recorded 10/23/1925 From the musical farce "Merry-Merry" This was the first release by the new Peerless Quartet. The group consisted of Henry Burr - tenor, Carl Mathieu - first tenor, James Stanley - baritone, Stanley Baughman - bass. This recording is perhaps the closest the Peerless Quartet came to sounding like the Revelers/Shannon Quartet. I believe this recording to be one of the finest examples offered by the Peerless.
