Garden Succulent Cold Process Soap with Floral Embeds and Piped Leaves! This is for the current month's challenge focusing on soap tops. We can either pick textures or piping. I of course tried both, but this one would be geared toward the piped tops category. This was one of my attempts with piping. I am an absolute novice when it comes to piping! I had made these succulents with leftover soap from the Lush Succulent soap I made a few months ago. And this was a perfect opportunity to use them! I did a basic pour with the main part of the loaf and set the embeds once the top was set up enough to support them. The next day, I piped the larger leaves and then did the smaller leaves the day after that. A few big things I learned - it took forever for my soap batter for piping to set up! Next time, I will start that batter first thing in the morning. The second thing was that I need to make a much smaller batch for the piping. In ended up making a lot of extra leaves to use in a later batch of soap. At the end of the day, I was super pleased with how the leaves turned out! I had tried to do one flower a few days prior with some other test piping batter, but it was too fluid and too late at night to wait. But, definitely something I'll try again in the future! I used Green Tea from Essential Depot and Lush Succulent plus Salty Mariner from Brambleberry. My colors came from Wholesale Supplies Plus, Brambleberry, and Nurture.
