Yoga series - 2 Vajrasana ( Diamond / Thunderbolt pose). Doing this pose gives longitivity and strength to the spine like a diamond. Procedure : From the sitting position, bend right leg and sit on the right heel. Bend the left leg and sit on both the heels. Spine should be straight. palms rested on the thighs. Normal breathing. Can maintain for 5-10 mins. Speciality of the pose : This is the only pose that can be done after food. All the other asanas should be practised in empty stomach. Awareness : The awareness should be on breathing. Benefits : Best for improving digestion. Heals gastric ulcers, acidity, indigestion and constipation. Good seated pose for pursuing pranayama and meditation. Caution : People with replaced knee or arthritis of knee joint should avoid doing it. Those who are begining new, could use a folded cloth or small cushion under feet or to support knees. #International Yoga Day
